We are excited to announce that the 3rd Graduate Women in Economics Research & Networking Forum at OSU will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, hosted by Graduate Women in Economics (GWE).
GWE aims to build a supportive network for women pursuing graduate studies in economics. This
forum brings together graduate students across the university to foster collaboration, share
research, and strengthen our academic community. Presenting your work in the forum will be a
great opportunity for you to showcase your work and gain feedback from the audience in a variety
of fields.
Submission Guidelines:
We welcome and encourage paper submissions on economics and related topics from
graduate students across all departments and disciplines. Selected papers will be presented
for 20–30 minutes, followed by a Q&A session and discussion. While submissions from all
students are welcome, we particularly encourage women graduate students.
Please fill out this survey after reviewing the guidelines and event details outlined in the
attached flyer:
Graduate students who would like to present their research are invited to provide the
requested information by April 10, 2026 through the form linked above.
Event Highlights:
In addition to the research presentation sessions, the forum will feature special keynote
sessions with distinguished speakers: Dr. Apoorva Rama Igwe, Economics Director at the
American Medical Association; Dr. Grace H. Hwang, Health Analyst at the Congressional
Budget Office; and Dr. Joyce Chen, Professor of Economics in Women’s, Gender, and
Sexuality Studies at The Ohio State University. The keynote speakers will share insights from
their professional experiences and discuss diverse career paths in economics.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Gokce Dogan (President of GWE) at
dogan.25@osu.edu or GWE Group at gwe2025@buckeyemail.osu.edu. We look forward to seeing
you there.
