The Career Services Coordinator assists students to prepare for the world of work by helping them build and identify career readiness competencies, clarify and plan their career goals, assist with the job-search process, locate resources, write professional-looking documents, and communicate well with others in career situations.

Amy joined The Ohio State University in June of 2022. Currently, she directs all career related activities for undergraduate students in the Department of Economics. Her previous experience is in teaching English/foreign languages and social services. She completed career services training with the National Career Development Association in 2020 and is now focused on helping students transition from college to work. She is a Buckeye and received her MSW from OSU in 2018. Amy loves to learn and is ovan a lifetime journey of discovery! One of the best things on that journey is meeting new people, showing them their strengths, and empowering them to be successful. Amy hopes to be encouraging as well as helpful as she works with the students here, and she looks forward to getting to know each you.

STUDENT APPOINTMENTS:

Reservations are made on Handshake and must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments can be virtual or in person.

Meetings can be in person in her office, virtual on Zoom, or by phone. The most reliable way to arrange a meeting is to make a reservation in advance on Handshake. Drop-in visits are possible, but there is no guarantee that Amy will have free time when you arrive, so calling or emailing beforehand is advised.

Some variations in the schedule will occur due to events, meetings, etc., so please check the schedule on Handshake to stay up to date. Amy tries to inform students and graduates of changes in her schedule ahead of time.
