Ohio State Student Trustee, Patrick Arp, named 2026 Truman Scholar!
Patrick Arp, a third-year biomedical science and economics major, is The Ohio State University’s 10th Truman Scholar.
Arp is one of 55 exceptional college students from 48 U.S. colleges and universities selected as 2026 Truman Scholars. The program supports graduate scholarship for aspiring public service leaders in the U.S.
Truman Scholars demonstrate outstanding leadership potential, a commitment to a career in government or the nonprofit sector, and academic excellence. Each Truman Scholar receives funding for graduate studies, leadership training, career counseling, and special internship and fellowship opportunities within the federal government.
Arp is a dedicated researcher in health economics, with a focus on public policy related to aging and long-term care. He holds research assistantships in the Department of Economics at Ohio State and at the University of Pennsylvania’s Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics.
