Joan M. Huber Faculty Fellows, 2021
In recognition of his excellence in scholarship, Paul J. Healy, professor of economics, has been selected as a Joan N. Huber faculty fellow for 2021.
An expert on economic theory, game theory, mechanism design and experimental economics, Healy has been working at Ohio State since 2007. He serves as the associate director of the Ohio State Experimental Economics Laboratory, which is dedicated to research in experimental economics. His research focuses on theories and designs whose insights are used to help design socially beneficial economic institutions. He also conducts research on the stability of various economic mechanisms, the success of prediction markets and mechanisms for efficient allocation of budgetary resources with NASA.
Named after former Dean of Social and Behavioral sciences Joan Huber, this program recognizes its winners for upholding the highest standards among senior faculty. Up to three fellowships are awarded annually to full professors in the social and behavioral sciences. Winners were nominated by department chairs and school directors, and they earn an annual cash award of $7,000 per year for three years to further their research.
