Kyle Dempsey joined the Department of Economics at the Ohio State University as an Assistant Professor in the fall of 2017. He received his Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Kyle's research analyzes the interplay between financial institutions, financial markets, and macroeconomic outcomes both theoretically and quantitatively. One recent research project examines of the aggregate effects of bank capital requirements in an environment with lending by non-banks. Another recent project studies the impact of credit scoring and reputation acquisition on consumer credit markets.
