Hajime Miyazak received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, 1977, and was Assistant Professor at Stanford University from 1977-1984, before joining The Ohio State University as Associate Professor in 1984. He has been Professor of Economics since 1987 and Director of Graduate Studies since 1998.
Professor Miyazaki has also held several visiting appointments both in the U.S. and Japan. He was Editor, Co-Editor and Associate Editor for The International Economic Review, 1990-1999. His research and teaching interest have been applied microeconomics of markets and internal organizations with emphasis on information, uncertainty and incentives from a comparative institutional perspective. His research has been published in major economics journals including The American Economic Review, The Journal of Political Economy, The Quarterly Journal of Economics,and Review of Economic Studies.
