Welcome, new Senior Lecturer, Wade Litt!
Wade Litt is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the Ohio State University. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Economics (AEDE) from Ohio State in 2019 and joined the Economics department in 2024. Dr. Litt also received a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, from Muskingum University (2011) and an M.A. in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Ohio University (2014).
Dr. Litt has taught courses including Introduction to Economics, Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Econometrics I, Advanced Econometrics, Money and Banking, Environmental Economics, Urban and Regional Economics, Labor Economics, and Underground Economics. He has supervised several undergraduate and graduate independent study projects and has served as faculty advisor to the Economics clubs at the University of Akron, Fort Lewis College, and Denison University.
Dr. Litt conducts research in the areas of education, labor, and regional economics, exploring topics like the labor market outcomes associated with student debt and the earnings premiums for immigrants who obtain U.S. college degrees. In addition to his teaching positions, Dr. Litt has worked in the commercial banking industry in Ohio as a risk analyst and data scientist, and a financial consultant and volunteer on projects in Ireland, Kenya, and Panama.
